Dota 2 Beta Key Giveaway!

In a few weeks there's Dreamhack Winter 2012, and i'm so hyped. I'm also finally moving to my very own apartment!

In the good mood of this i found that i had a spare Dota 2 Beta key that is basically just laying around.
I'm not a big fan of Dota 2 but that's a better reason that i'd give this away to someone who would enjoy having it, if there's anyone in the world left that does not have it :P

How to i enter?
Well, under this post there's a link saying "comments"...
Write a little greetings and end it with your Steam username and a link to your profile.
I do not count Anonymous comments, login with something (preferably your google/youtube acc) when you write your comment.

When will this giveaway end?
I'll end it next week on Tuesday the 13th of November at 23:59 (GMT +0). Any post after that will not count.

But i already have Dota 2!
Then write a comment saying you want to give it to a friend of yours and specify his/her Steam username and link to his/her profile!
Also include if you want me to send a little message from you.

Hopefully someone will enter this, i kinda think there will only be a few.

Good luck!
And is this turns out good i might do more giveaways :)

Yours
MisterMild

So there was a match with Robin Walker going on...

On Sunday there was the TF2 Free2Play Invitational (TF2 Post) Celeb Match where the Brink team who had won the tournament was invited to play a fun competitive match against
Robin WalkerTotalbiscuit, eXtine and the rest of the Celeb team.

I was ready to watch the stream when suddenly Ashkan (who is awesome) came to me personally and asked if i wanted to replace a missing Soldier in the Brink team. I was honored and surprised, I've never played competitive Soldier. The only 6v6 I've played is with Ashkan as a Scout very few times.

But that was it :)
I got to play in the game on the Brink team, who is some awesome guys lead by Admirable (Our Medic).
After i missed a chance to play with Robin Walker once i got another chance now, though with thousands of people watching :/

If you look at the kills...i did good until Robin ruined  it :P
Robin playing with his Valve Death Launcher :)

Got fish by Totalbiscuit!

Mr "Yaaooooo" makes a pose!

The vods are up if you'd like to watch me get my ass beaten by the celebs while trying to follow Admirable lead in the Brink team.

The vods are unedited ATM and they had a few problems before so that's why they talk so much.
Part 1 & Part 2

Some real pre-match talking and introduction of all the prayers (Inc. confusion about me :3) start around: 54:30
And the actual first round starts at: 59:50

Look out for the Stout Shako Soldier on BLU :) He's going to suck.

Enjoy

My thoughts and highlights of E3!

So E3 has ended with a lot of dust and diamonds in it's trail.

Sitting in my computer chair here in Sweden, monitoring Machinima, IGN and other guys who covered E3 for me.

Both fun and disappointing stuff were shown....

Here's what i think of a few random things...

Battlefield 3:
"I'm stunned!"

I can't believe the graphics of their new battlefield game! I'm stunned over how awesome it looks!
I cheer over this new technology and both my computer and wallet cry in fear of it.

I want to see the System requirements before considering buying this, not heard a bit of it.
But along with other games, this is one of the thing i strongly consider buying.

Halo 4:
"Thrilled and curious"

I'm quite a new Halo fan, considering that i got my Xbox not long ago, but i got into the story quite quick and i looked up the story line i were not there to experience myself.

Bungee is bought up and now 343 Industries is taking over, announcing this new "trilogy" continuing the story of Halo.

I was curious that the new game will miss one thing that bungee had, the love for their community. But i got told that 343 Industries is filled with old Bungee workers, so i hope they will make a great game after all.

Thrilled and curious i await more info on Halo 4.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3:
"Still looks like MW2 gameplay"

Nope, did not get pulled in by all the info or trailers.

It looks like a decent game but it still looks like MW2 gameplay with new story and weapons. And they showed the same boring gameplay style that i tired out on MW2.

But they say that you buy MW because of the multiplayer but i did not really like the multi in MW2 so much to be excited for this new game.

I will not buy full retail price for the game they have shown me so far, i may consider it if they dropped it by half.

Mass Effect 3:
"It'll drag me in as the ones before"

I could draw some parallels of this games step up like for Modern Warfare, no greater graphical or gameplay step ups.

But apart from the MW franchise i really got dragged into Mass Effect through ME2 and that was the best storytelling in a game I've ever seen. Never been so involved with a story and wanted so much more.

I actually pirated ME2 after hearing one word about it and i went "Meh, worth a try". Then about 2 hours into the game i really felt "I want a copy of this fantastic game in my bare hands", so i went and bought the extended edition, hehe.

It's this love i have for the older games that make me long for ME3, and i know it'll drag me in as the ones before!

Tomb Raider: Turning Point:
"She has turned into a human"

I'm actually surprised that i want to buy this game.

I've never liked Tomb Raider or Lara Croft. Sure i'm a normally functioned man and i find Lara attractive, but that's about it.

I actually find this new Lara Croft more attractive, not just by her new cute and realistic looks but for her realistic appearance overall. She has turned into a human and you can feel her feelings as you see her!
I must add to this that her voice actress is amazing, at least in game.

Also an awesome cinematic trailer, very classic but awesome. Exactly my style :)

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
"They got dragons smashed into an already awesome game series"

I love the free world RPG of The Elder Scrolls and i liked Morowind. But i actually got tired of Morrowind before i ended it so i don't know yet what to really think i'm gonna like about it.

BUT HOLY F*CKING YES they have an awesome trailer and awesome music, that i must give them.

But what's not to like? They got Dragons smashed into an already awesome game series and considering the graphics and the oh so good reputation of the series i'm considering this a lot.
But i think this will be a game i need to try a demo or pirate it before i buy it.

The Companies:

Microsoft:
A looooot of Kinect talk, and i'm not surprised. They must ride the wave they have created and i'm not the kind of gamer to ride that wave with them, sorry.

So as a response to different announced things...
No i don't want more Kinect features and games.
No i don't want Youtube on Xbox since i already have hooked up my computer to my TV.
No i don't like the new look of Xbox dashboard.
And sorry i don't watch movies and listen to music on Xbox so i have no use for that new tech ether.
And...Yes... voice feature is always fun for a while but NO i don't want to buy your f*cking camera to use it!

I like the tech of Kinect, it's amazing! But the games for it is shit in a plastic cartage. They might step it up a bit now after these features in different games but the hardcore gamer will choose to turn it of instead of having a delayed voice or motion feature.

Sony:
Can't say too much because i actually did not watch the whole conference...why?
I have no Playstation or interest in their games.

Playstation Vita i think is not going to live that long. I don't know.

Nintendo:
I agree with what many said, they conquered this years E3.
Though i don't have or will buy the 3DS so i ignored all of that.

The Wii U on other hand...
The first thing i thought of while saying to myself "Wii U?" was that if you say it many times after each other it sounds like a siren. Otherwise i like that they are competing with Xbox and Sony in graphic now and i also like the games that's going to come to it. But i don't think i will buy it on release, may be a future buy in.

Valve:
Soooo, nothing new then? Missed you guys at E3.
Hope you're working on something more important instead of being at E3. Liiiike maybe possibly a new little game involving a little orange dressed scientist with a door breaker as a weapon? hm? Maybe containing a number three somewhere there?

Hope they will stun me some other day at least.

Wrap Up!
That's it, now I've written myself tired and i hope someone enjoyed this.
Please if you read some of this and want to agree/disagree/comment on anything i've said please leave a comment on this post.

I really must prepare my wallet for this barrage of games incoming.
I'm sure I've forgot something i wanted to mention but...meh

Good Evening all.

MisterMild's TF2 Server

I just wanted to show off the Message of the day i created for the MisterMild Server in TF2 :P
Don't blame me, when you put hours of work into something the payment is to have it recognized and to get some feedback.

Minecraft 3D

I never knew what that 3D option thing was,
until i realized it activated Minecraft with 3D glasses!

I ran to my storage and dug out a pair of paper 3D glasses...

I activated 3D and ... i came because of the awesomeness!!! O.o

Also with the new shader to Minecraft it looks awesome!
(New shader not included in the picture, it's just something from google)

If you haven't tried it, DO IT FAGGOT!

Though i had a "mild" headache after the 3 hour game session but it was worth it.

Old vs New

Yes i do miss the old times...sometimes...

But i did like new stuff with hats and such, sounded like a fun idea :D
But the "classy" flew away in the wind.
Maybe caused by a fart from the higher people at Valve, i dunno.

Soon, someone looking like the left picture will be unusual to see.

Steams latest super offer!

OMG GUYS have you seen the latest steam special offer!?!?!

You can buy these awesome Team Fortress 2 weapons for only
49,99 €!!!!!
Sooo cheap you can't believe it!

Blast people away in flames with an epic mace or why not chop people with a volcano axe!!
Sooooo badass weapons! O.o

Oh and i almost forgot, you get some little game too...

Seriously Valve... this is starting to get stupid.
Sure the axe and mace are quite cool but it's not worth f*cking 50 €!
And the game looks like just another shitty MMORPG with nothing special.

As if my trust to Valve were not lowered enough by the crates but this promotional thing is starting to get ridiculous. I may accept when it's games that have similar fan base target as Team Fortress 2, but this?!?
How much of the sale income did you get for the promotion this time?

Please anyone, don't buy this game because of some items no one cares about anyway.

Poker Night at the Inventory Review

Poker Night at the Inventory is a pretty entertaining game.
I personally knew the basics of Texas Hold'em and could just go right in and start dealing.

Overexcited about Heavy Weapons Guy (Obviously) i sit down, the first line i hear from Heavy is ..."In" and i start laughing :)

Although that gaming night i smiled and laughed at all the conversation going on all night. I'm exited over hearing Heavy's background stories and i'm also glad to get to know these two guys i did not know before, Strong Bad and Tycho. Even though Strong Bad is sometimes quite annoying -.-

I love the combination of different characters gathered in one place, just as i loved the same thing in Team Fortress 2. It came to me that this is what's making this game. The characters, the fantastic conversations, and the way we all play together makes this game fun and entertaining. Poker is a nice relaxed touched and i like it.

I think this is the cheapest fun I've had in a game (not counting free games and*mhmh*downloaded games)

After a few rounds, the Heavy buys in with the Iron Curtain...
I realize that..."Oh, i forgot you could win stuff to TF2" and it was good that i realized that because before the release of this game i really only saw it as another "Buy TF2 items and get a free game" and a game that used Heavy to get any profit at all. But i think Heavy was used well, over my expectations, and together with Max, Strong Bad and Tycho they make a great game with style.

If we look into gameplay i really could wish for some additions...
like in "face up" moments where you hear a drum roll and see close up expressions of the characters. I'm so focused on really looking what my opponent has a chance of getting that the excitement get ruined and i have no idea how it goes before the Game Master tells it. It gets me confused and i would have wanted just a small text explaining what the character have at the moment and who's currently the strongest.

Also i'm only a beginner to this game but there is something when the pot gets split between the two (or more) left. But the master takes it as my opponent won, but we got the same amount back. I would have needed an explanation to that.

Otherwise just minor problems...
I realized that the texture of Tychos nose gets very weird with the lowest graphics.

All summed up, if i would give this game a rate i would give it
7/10
It's a great game and with that low price it's even better.

My cards, they are made of STEEL!

This movie was released not long ago about Telltales new game...

Now they have given out more information...

The game is called Poker Night at the Inventory.
Heavy Weapons Guy seem to take some time off from killing cowards to beat them in poker instead.

Telltale games have now partly announced this "pilot" game and will feature these characters like
Tycho from Penny Arcade
Strong Bad from Homestar Runners
Max from Sam & Max

and as you may see...
our beloved Heavy Weapons Guy from Team Fortress 2.

It looks like it's heading over this fall and is available for pre-purchase for about 5 dollars on Telltale store and Steam Store (with reservation for eventual price changes on both).

What do i think of this game then?

Well...
i have a feeling that the fact that Heavy Weapons Guy is in this game will give it a lot of attention.
I have a great hope that this game will be fully voiced and that maybe they will hire in Gary Schwartz to make the voice for Heavy again, mostly because it's new voice clips for me to work with in movie making ^^
I would pay money just for the voice clips godamnit!
*crossing fingers*

Otherwise i'm not a big poker fan and would not think that this would be a game for me if it's just poker with Heavy, that'll be just boring. But according to rumors it's not just regular poker, it's poker with a little extra.
I quote:
"You'll experience a new style of poker, particularly when hands don't go the way of the other fiery competitors at the table" -http://www.telltalegames.com/store/pokernight

So i may give this a chance... i mean just look at Heavy weapons guy in the screenshots from Steam Store:
- Put up hand!
Badass poker Heavy is badass!

Yes it's on Steam Store, so go check it out:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/31280/

I have faith in this game, don't lose it now Telltale!

I'm off now trying to get some money to buy it on Steam, since i lost my account on Paypal before i will not use that again!

L4D and L4D2 DLC - The Sacrifice

Gametrailers TV shows an interview with Chet at Valve and talks about a new Left 4 Dead "ONE and TWO" DLC called The Sacrifice....

The movie itself gives more details...

I'm kinda thrilled trying this out but...
October huh?

Let's calculate Valve time...
Calculate Valve Time

I place my money on November...since it's Valve we're talking about.
We'll see if my calculations are correct hm?
:P
